What is A1Airside?

A1Airside is a cloud and app based system for logging observations, control actions and most importantly, wildlife strikes around the airfield. The system is powerful, secure and flexible so almost anything can be added to the app to be logged: events, LVPs, Runway inspections, etc.

Wildlife Logging

From the start, you can input a full range of information including Control, Flypast and Bird Strike events.

Tracking wildlife activity in this way, you can make decisions based on the data about how to mitigate any future risks from bird strikes.

Our time saving app increases logging accuracy and frequency and is available to use on your existing tablets and smart phones.

Log against an area or pick from a map using GPS. Input a ‘nil birds seen’ log with just a couple of clicks.

The system was designed in conjunction with aviation wildlife consultants and specialists in bird strike management.

This means the software has been development by people who use it, just like you and in line with your needs.

Runway Inspection

Record conditions for all runway areas on a single screen, including percentage cover and depth in mm.

Off Airfield Logging

Take our system on the road and log 13km observations and notes on your phone. Logs can be marked using GPS and mapped during analysis.

If you already have an on airfield logging solution, we offer a subscription tier called A1Airside13 which is a way to use the system for off airfield logging only at a much reduced price.

Standards Compliant

The international birdstrike committee (IBSC) Standard 5 confirms that: “Airport bird/wildlife controllers should record the following at least every 30 minutes:

  • areas of the airport patrolled
  • numbers, location and species of birds/wildlife seen
  • action taken to disperse birds/wildlife
  • results of the action.”

Standard 5 also recommends the importance of recording and retaining records to enable airports to show that they had an adequate bird/wildlife control programme in place in the event of an incident where an airline or insurer may seek to retrieve any insurance losses.

The App features an autologout facility, to ensure personnel are only logged in to the system whilst performing control actions.

Security
